‘Aate Di Chidi’ to hit the silver screens: Imminent Punjabi movie named ‘Aate Di Chidi’ has been preponed by a day to October 18 now.
Harry Bhatti’s ‘Aate Di Chidi’, which was slated to release on October 19 earlier, will be up for grabs on a day before, i.e., October 18 (Thursday). Having made the big decision a couple of days before its new release, it will aid the movie to receive an extended festive weekend now, something which can turn its table as far as the as far as the commercial facet of the movie is concerned.
The trailer of the movie was released on the official YouTube channel of Lokdhun Punjabi nearly four weeks ago. At the time of writing this article, it has received over seven million views on the same platform.
Aate Di Chidi will give an opportunity to the Punjabi audiences to watch the untested lead pair of Neeru Bajwa and Amrit Maan together on-screen. Apart from them, the movie see Sardar Sohi, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, Nisha Bano, BN Sharma, Anmol Verma, Harby Sanga and Nirmal Rishi playing pivotal roles in it.
Written by Raju Verma, the film has been directed by Bhatti, who has earlier co-directed ‘Rabb Da Radio‘ and directed ‘Daana Paani‘. Given his line of work in the past, one can anticipate the subject of the movie to dictate terms as far as being congenial with the viewers is concerned. Given how Bhatti is rated in the industry, expectations are bound to increase with every movie.
Shot in Canada and Punjab, the first half of the movie is supposed to predominantly be in overseas while the second one will see the cast travel back to Punjab. The film will receive stiff competition at the box-office form Amit Sharma’s ‘Badhaai Ho’ and Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s ‘Namaste England’. Being extensively promoted in Punjab along with the presence of Neeru Bajwa should give Aate Di Chidi a head start, at least in Punjab.
