A hotshot in the Punjabi and Hindi film industry, Diljit Dosanjh, has been among the news in the entertainment industry since yesterday due to his latest single track, ‘El Sueño’. Dosanjh, who has acted in a couple of Hindi movies since the start of 2016, has reached a level ahead in terms of language with El Sueño.
Therefore, it becomes necessary to explain the meaning of the Spanish title to the Punjabi demography living in Punjab and overseas. In Spanish, El means ‘the’ and Sueño means ‘dream’. Now, it becomes easy for the audience to connect to the song which says ‘Mere Supne De Vich Sohneya, Bas Teri Sardari Aaundi Ae.’
The song has it in it to be of one’s liking, but, what has taken the audience by storm is the video. A concept by Kaka Mohanwalia and directed by Kavar Singh, the video is triumphant in bringing to view the ancient Spanish era. It reminds us of the locations where Modern Classics like Waynard Pines & Downton Abbey have been shot. Dosanjh’s semblance is worth the praise in the video. On top of it, is the way in which he has carried himself the whole time. All we could say after watching him how he carried himself in video was ‘Vekh Ke Vajood Lalli Da Smoky Hotiyan Tu Thari Aaundi Ae‘.
The video has been released under the banner of Famous Studios and UK Production Office. The song is musically directed by Tru-Skool. It is the 2nd song released in an year’s time under the label of Famous Studios. Last Year, Diljit’s ‘Do You Know’ was released under the banner. Also this song marks the return of Tru Skool and Diljit after the blockbuster success of ‘Back 2 Basics’. Monica Arnal Vidal is the female vocalist opposite to Dosanjh in the song.
Dosanjh and the female lead opposite to him in the video, Vanessa Calderón, have complimented each other perfectly in the limited screen space that they have shared. The video starts with a person asking Dosanjh to save a girl from the local goons and ends with Khadku Jatt saving her and also showcasing the power of his force.
