The year 2017 has been nothing short of a phenomenon for the lyricist-turned-singer. His songs have released as fast as greased lightning. And it is not just about the songs being released, they have been lauded by the youngsters to the extent that the last line of the first paragraph has been written in its most true sense.
Without wasting much time in 2018, Moose Wala has released his latest single track named ‘Just Listen’. The music video was released in the morning on the official YouTube channel of Humble Music. At the time of writing this article, it has received over 13 lakh views and is trending at #1 on the same platform.
Something which has become a conjecture when one hears the name Moose Wala, even this song has been penned down by himself. BYG BYRD has directed the song musically. Sunny Malton has featured in the the music video which has been directed by TDOT Films (Rahul Chahal).
His forte of writing straight from the shoulder has also turned out to become his USP in the Punjabi music industry. Just Listen is a song which is perhaps been taken as more of a platform where the singer has expressed his feelings, past and current experiences, depiction of his limited career so far and how his counterparts have spoken ill off him in a constructive modus operandi.
It would not be wrong to say that not many would have displayed the guts to sing such a song. A line towards the end of the song, ‘Horan wangu kalam gulaam nahin oh meri’, speaks volumes about the man and what makes him tick.
