Mandy Takhar’s heptad of movies: The leading actress of the Punjabi industry will appear in as many as seven movies in the year 2019.
Mandy Takhar, who made her acting debut in Mandeep Benipal’s ‘Ekam – Son of Soil’ in 2010, is on the verge of completing a decade in the show business. In her nine-year old career, Takhar has been part of 10 Punjabi, two Tamil and a Hindi movie.
On the back of several movie announcements, Mandy Takhar’s fans are most likely to be enraptured with the fact that her total number of Punjab films will increase from 10 to 17 by the end of this year. Having done a movie each in the last three years, Takhar will be seen in as many as seven movies this year.
While Smeep Kang’s ‘Band Vaaje‘, which is slated to release on this Friday, will be her first movie of 2019, her fans are sure-shot to be delighted by the end of the year to have seen her on the silver screen throughout the year. If reports are to be believed, Takhar will also be seen in a cameo appearance in Sharan Arts’ ‘Rabb Da Radio 2‘ this month.

On the back of a couple of movies in March, Takhar will then be seen sharing screen space in April with singer-turned-actor Preet Harpal and legendary actors in Yograj Singh and Guggu Gill in M. Hundal’s ‘Lukan Michi‘. In June, Mandy will be seen in Kamaljeet Singh’s ‘Saak‘. A lot of photos from the set of the movie are already doing rounds across social media platforms.

Mandy Takhar to share screen with Ammy Virk, Ninja and Kulwinder Billa
In which is her most recently announced movie, Takhar will be seen playing the lead role in a movie based on real-life incidents in Prem Singh Sidhu’s ‘Zindagi Zindabad‘. The movie is slated to release on August 2. Singer-turned actor Ninja will be playing the lead role opposite Takhar in the movie.
There also are a couple of movies which haven’t received a release date as of now. That being said, they are expected to play on the celluloid this year itself. Other than Takhar appearing opposite Kulwinder Billa in Taj’s ‘Television‘, she will also be seen in Sunil Puri’s ‘Challe Mundiyan’. While it will be her second movie with Billa in 2019, it also stars superstar Ammy Virk.
Since it is only the starting of March, one cannot rule out the possibility of Mandy being offered more movies in 2019. While a leading actress doing seven movies in a year is unheard of, especially in the Punjabi film industry, Takhar will be highly likely to enter the record books if she signs more movies which will release this year.
While all of this oozes exhilaration, it also has it in it to pressurize the individual. Here is wishing lots of luck to Mandy Takhar for her heptad of movies in 2019. Given the number involved, here is hoping for 2019 to become a career-defining year for her.
