‘Mr & Mrs 420 Returns’ Trailer Review: A potential laughathon!

Talking of sequels, the most recent one in the Punjabi film industry was successful enough to achieve the rare feat of completing 50 days in cinemas across the world. Another sequel which is now set to enthrall the audiences is Ksshitij Chaudhary’s ‘Mr & Mrs 420 Returns’. Having received a great deal of success with Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua‘, this is Chaudhary’s second movie of the year.

The movie stars Jassie Gill, Ranjit Bawa, Jaswinder Bhalla, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, Avantika Hundal, Payal Rajput, Anita Devgan and Gurmeet Saajan in pivotal areas. Among the notable exclusions from the first part are Binnu Dhillon, Babbal Rai and Yuvraj Hans. However, the presence of a trio in Karamjit Anmol, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Ranjit Bawa have it in it to be qualified as apt replacements.

The trailer of the movie was released a couple of hours ago on the official YouTube channel of Lokdhun Punjabi. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of one lakh views on the same platform. It is writ large from the trailer of the movie that it is a potential laughaton that will force the viewers to laugh like a drain. The overwhelming way in which comedy films are received by our audiences, Mr & Mrs 420 Returns is expected to become a profitable entity.

As was the case in the first part, the responsibility of acting as ladies has fallen on the comical shoulders of Karamjit Anmol and Jassie Gill. This was a sequence which was widely appreciated by the audiences in the prequel. Given what is visible in the trailer, it is expected to become the USP of the movie this time as well. The latter had made his acting debut in the first part and now after four years, as a much-refined actor, he looks all set to entertain the audiences in a waggish manner.

The script of the movie is written by Naresh Kathooria. For someone who is known for his witty writing, it in itself signifies the amount of humor that will be put on display on August 15. He will also be seen as an actor in the movie, which are clear signs of additional giggling.
