About your role in Saab Bahadar
As it is my debut I am quite nervous and all set for it. My character in the movie is about a girl who is fearless and she’s named Deepi.
How different is the film from regular punjabi cinema films?
It’s not like other comedy or romantic movies in the industry. It is about the suspense thriller and marks the addition of something new to the Punjabi filmIndustry.
How excited are you to make your punjabi cinema debut with Saab Bahadar?
I am very excited but again nervous as it is my debut movie in the Punjabi Industry and I am working with very experienced cast and crew.
How did you bag the role in Saab Bahadar?
I was in touch with Gunbir sir and was offered a role in Sardaar ji too, but due to some issues it didn’t happen. So, when now he narrated the script I liked it and accepted the role of Deepi.
What are your views regarding the Roles in Punjabi Cinema for women. Are they good enough to showcase their acting ability?
Things have been changing and the mindsets of the people are changing too. So, it has really uplifted the Industry and now Women are even the lead roles for the films.
Tell us about yourself and who do you admire and take as your role model.
I am actually quite opposite to the character in the film and as Deepi, is so fearless that she is straightforward if she’s getting disturbed she would say that straight but Me in real life would let it be as it would end itself.
My role models are Neeru Bajwa and Priyanka Chopra as they both has changed the whole scenario of their Industries and are a cause of upliftment. Priyanka Chopra, has represented her Country internationally and making us all proud.
Is there some dream role you look forward to?
I would like to take up the role like Deepika Padukone in Cocktail and Kareena Kapoor in Jab We Met. But if given a chance I would surely love to do a Bio-Pic.
Your experience of working in a White Hill Production film?
To be very honest, I have been watching their films from a long time and always wanted to work with them. The people on the set were too polite and nice. I didn’t feel if I am a freshers and treated less than any other actress.
Are you taking up other projects after Saab Bahadar?
Yes, definitely I am looking forward to it. I’ve been narrated the story of three films and would surely update all my viewers once it is finalised.
A quote that you can relate to and Any message you would like to give to our readers?
‘Work hard and Play Harder’, is what I believe. And yes, we’re expecting a great response from our viewers as we have presented a new concept and we’re sure you all would like to watch it.
