Punjabi Film-Maker, Sagar S Sharma known for films like Burrraahh (2012) and Heer & Hero (2013) has joined the league of directors who have crossed over or rather taken the next level fro m Punjabi Cinema to Bollywood. There have been very few directors who have been able to do so, and Sagar is only one of the 3 from the recent generation of directors who come to my mind. The other 2 being Navaniat Singh & Anurag Singh who are currently busy with their Bollywood Debut Projects.
However, one step ahead of them is Sagar S Sharma, who has completed the shooting of his maiden Bollywood Venture titled Tilli, the trailer of which was revealed last week at an event in Mumbai in the presence of the star cast which includes names like Raghubir Yadav (known for films like Peepli Live, Newton, Piku to name a few in recent years), Atul Srivastav, Neeraj Pandey & Rizwan Sheikh.

The Film has been produced jointly by Anand Kumar Productions, BTM Productions and Sagar S Sharma Productions. Speaking exclusively to Punjabi Mania on telephone from Mumbai, Sagar Revealed, “I have quietly completed the shooting of this film somewhere around the middle of 2017. After I heard the idea from my writer I got involved in doing the research on the subject and the subject touched my heart and I thought that it had to be made and I had to make it myself only.”
Also when we asked Sagar about his future works in the Punjabi Film Industry, Sagar Said, “I am what I am and where I am because of Punjabi Film Industry. I will continue doing my work in both Punjabi as well as Hindi Film industry. Also, I would like to Inform your readers that I am in talks with a very big production house of Punjab for my next Punjabi Film. If all things work out well, we will go on floors very soon.”
