Review: Rajbir Vats’ enlivening ‘Rooh’

To the high spirits of his fans, nationwide famous singer Kamal Khan has come up with his new single track named ‘Rooh’. The music video was released yesterday on the official YouTube channel of Pop Chartbusters, a product of the renowned brand, T-Series. At the time of writing this article, the video has received over two lakh views on the same platform.

Having won SaReGaMaPa Singing Superstar in 2010 to collecting truckload of accolades for the song ‘Ishq Sufiana (The Dirty Picture)’, Kamal Khan has since then given multiple super-hit songs in both Bollywood and the Punjabi film industry. Upon listening to most of his tracks, one can take note of the fact that he is best suited for romantic and sad songs.

It is his proficiency in this genre which has made Rooh a piece of delight to listen to. This single track is a quintessential tale of a romantic couple. An out and out romantic song, it is something which has been released after a considerable amount of time. Perhaps, this wait done by the audiences will work in the affirmative for the song.

The music video of Rooh marks the debut of Rajbir Vats in the entertainment industry. A budding model and actor, Rajbir is all in readiness to make a mark in movies really soon. Playing the role of the protagonist in the music video, he has already given us glimpses of what he possesses as an actor. In an interview with Punjabi Mania, Rajbir revealed that he would love to start his career with a romantic or intense project. Upon watching the video, one comes to know the reason behind the same. An owner of good looks, honesty and zeal, Rajbir has what it takes to become successful in this industry.

Mista Baaz, who is doing the rounds in the Punjabi music industry these days, has worked on the music of Rooh. It is apparent from the song that his recent success wasn’t a fluke and that he can direct sell-out music for Hindi songs as well. The lyrics of the song have been penned down by Raj Ranjodh, someone who has done pretty well in writing a Hindi song. The video of the song has been directed by Robby Singh. For all we know, it is his efforts which have given the song a graceful finish. The video also comprises of a cameo appearance by Sunita Dhir.
