‘Sajjan Singh Rangroot’, Punjabi industry’s first-ever war-time based movie, is all in readiness to hit the cinema halls tomorrow, i.e., 23/03/2018. The movie stars Diljit Dosanjh, Yograj Singh, Jagjeet Sandhu, Dheeraj Kumar, Jarnail Singh and others. Sunanda Sharma, someone who has enticed audience with her singing in the last couple of years, will make her acting debut in this movie.
Directed by Pankaj Batra, the movie is based on the life and experiences of the soldiers of the Lahore regiment of the Indian British Army which was sent to England to fight on their behalf in World War I. In an interview with Punjabi Mania, Pankaj Batra revealed as to what motivated him to portray this story on the big screen and why he wants our youth to watch this movie in a bid to know more about their past and history.

Gurpreet Singh Palheri has written the story of the movie. He and directed Pankaj Batra have written the screenplay of the movie. Jatinder Lall has penned down the dialogues. The movie is produced by Jay Sahni, Sona Sahni and Bobby Bajaj under the banner of Vivid Art House. The release date, apart from falling on the same day as the death anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, falls in the midst of a holiday season, especially for the children. In such a situation, more and more families are expected to visit the cinema halls to watch Sajjan Singh Rangroot.
As far as the promotion of the movie is concerned, it has been extensively promoted across TV channels, online platforms, on-ground stations and stage shows. Performing live for the first time, the duo of Diljit Dosanjh and Sunanda Sharma has amused their fans in various cities of Punjab.
