Fans of the Punjabi movie industry were cooling their heels for some time now for the trailer of Amberdeep Singh’s second directorial venture, ‘Laung Laachi’. Originally slated to be released on the day before yesterday, the trailer got further delayed by a day due to some reasons. It was finally put forward yesterday on the official YouTube channel of T-Series Apna Punjab. At the time of writing this article, it has received in excess of eight lakh views on the same platform.
The movie stars Ammy Virk, Neeru Bajwa and Singh, himself, in lead roles. The kind of form that he has been since his debut as an actor, merely words cannot describe all that Virk brings to a movie these days. This is Bajwa’s first appearance after ‘Channo Kamli Yaar Di’. A name of such significance coming on the celluloid after two years is a reason enough to attract a plethora of audiences to the cinema halls. Having left a mark with his cameos in ‘Love Punjab’ and ‘Lahoriye’, it would be interesting to see Singh donning the coat of a lead actor in Laung Laachi.
The movie also stars Amrit Maan and Veet Baljit. Maan was exceptional in his role as Balli Dhillon in his debut movie ‘Channa Mereya’. His presence has given the viewers another reason to watch the movie. Apart from them, Nirmal Rishi, Gurpreet Kaur Bhangu, Hobby Dhaliwal and Baninder Bunny are expected to play pivotal roles in the movie.
Writing straight from the shoulder, the star cast has it in it to improve the fortunes of the movie. Talking about the trailer, one can say that it is definitely up to the snuff, but lacks anything prodigious. That being said, one can only talk about that in detail after watching the movie upon its release.
In times when film makers release the trailer of the movie well in advance to promote it extensively, Laung Laachi’s trailer has been brought in front of the audience less than three weeks before its release. A lot of eyes would be watching the process of how the movie is marketed for it has become as essential facet of film-making these days.
