In which will be a testament to Smeep Kang’s unremitting work spree, ‘Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan’ will become his third release in five months. Releasing on July 13, the movie will be in front of the audiences in just over a week’s time now. The trailer of the movie was released last week on the official YouTube channel of White Hill music. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of six million views on the same platform.
Having directed ‘Laavaan Phere‘ and ‘Carry On Jatta 2‘ earlier this year, one finds a couple of similarities between Kang’s movies. The first is that the genre of all the movies has been the same, i.e.,
comedy side-splitting comedy. The second one is the fact that all the movies were capable enough of generating extravagant ballyhoo around them before their release.
Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan, the latest of them all, is reaping benefits of a trailer which has given the audiences an indication of the movie being a barrel of laughter. A movie with Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol, Gurpreet Ghuggi and B.N. Sharma in it need not bang the drums around it for the quintet has it in it to deliver the required message to the audiences by their sheer presence.
Our team went to Sector 17, Chandigarh, to understand the know-how of the people regarding the movie. The video attached beneath this paragraph will give you an idea that people are excited enough to watch the movie in the cinema halls on July 13. The scene in the trailer where Jaswinder Bhalla collides with a motorcycle with Dhillon, Ghuggi and Anmol sitting on it appears to have made a place inside the hearts of the public. Talking of Binnu Dhillon, Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan possesses a couple of exclusive challenges for him. The engrossing actor that he is, he has somehow managed a way of not doing as well as a leading actor as he does in supporting roles. Barring ‘Vekh Baraatan Challiyan’, all his other three movies as a lead actor received mixed response both critically and commercially.
In Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan, an actor of Dhillon’s stature would want to improve on that record. With his Vekh Baraatan Challiyan co-star in Kavita Kaushik alongside him, there are high chances of this couple finding a place in the hearts of the audiences for the second time in a row.
Dhillon’s role in the movie is not limited to being a lead actor. Under the banner of his home production house, Naughty Men Productions, he has co-produced the movie as well. With ‘Bailaras’, the first movie produced by Dhillon, not doing well, he would be hoping to turn the tables this time round. The audiences’ reactions leave us with enough hints that the movie will be another money-spinning commodity in the Punjabi film industry and that the tables will certainly be turned.
