Diljit Dosanjh Biopic Film 'Punjab '95' Censor Board News: Diljit Dosanjh's 'Punjab '95' is an upcoming movie based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khaira. It is Honey Trehan's highly anticipated film which has been facing a lot of obstacles on its journey to release, particularly regarding certification from the censor board.
According to the information, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has now mandated 85 cuts to the film. The film is based on Jaswant Singh Khaira, a brave man who always stood for the right. The film is dedicated to his life to uncover the truth.
The film was originally titled 'Ghallughara', a historic term used to refer to the massacre of Sikhs in 1746, 1762, and 1984. The process took six months when the production banner RSVP applied for certification from India’s Central Board of Film Certification in late 2022.
The film was cleared with 21 cuts and a change of title to “Punjab ’95.”
Notably, Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Pal Vicky are also a part of 'Punjab 95'.
