The Corona crisis has affected almost all industries and the entertainment industry is no exception. Due to the lockdown orders of the government, not only all the theatres and multiplexes were closed down but also all the film and television shootings had to be suspended. Even now when the malls and restaurants are open for public, there is no certainty on when will the film theatres and cinema houses will reopen.
The Punjabi industry has also recieved a major setback due to the pandemic and now when the lock down has been lifted, the members of the Punjabi entertainment fraternity are all geared up to resume work and continue with the shootings and recordings. In order to do the same, the industry is trying to get permission from the authorities.
Today Gippy Grewal, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Ranjit Bawa along with Charan Dass (Secretary of The Punjab Congress Committee) had a meeting with the Honourable Chief Secretary of Punjab- Ms. Vinni Mahanjan. In the meeting, the artists raised their demand to recieve the permission to resume film shooting and suggested the authorities to construct proper guidelines for the same.
The artists took it to their social media to update the fans about the meeting and also shared that in VC meeting the worthy Chief Minister Of Punjab- Captain Amrinder Singh has assured that he will look into the matter and will take care of the Punjabi industry. This news has given hope and positivity to not just all the members of the industry but also to the dedicated fans of Punjabi cinema.
