The story of the film is its strong point, it is  different from the league. Mangu is the name of a 'real fish' in a house aquarium, who is the hero of the film. No animation has been used in making the film. ‘Mangu, The Fighter’ is a story of fish living in a fish tank in a house. The story of the movie will revolve around the plot that the house owner vacates the house and appoints a caretaker for fish and plants. The story of the film will creatively show the courage and  heroism of Mangu.

The film was shot at different locations in Mohali and Chandigarh for 21 days. The film has a total budget of Rs 2 crore and the movie is complete and ready for release on major OTT platforms. The shooting of the film was difficult as it was mainly based on the fish and the shooting had to be according to the actions of the fish. The other challenge that the team faced was the  extreme cold and keeping the temperature warm in the aquarium so that the fish do not get sick. During dubbing, they had to also match the dialogue with the lip movement of the fish.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Vinamarjot Singh Wraich, the lead actor, shared that the film has been made on similar lines of the blockbuster Hollywood movie ‘Finding Dory’. He mentioned that he is confident that this film which will offer a fresh genre and will enthuse children and mature audiences alike.

It is worth mentioning that the Wraich family which runs RED i Productions has been into the film business for the last 15 years. They have won several national and international awards for their films and short films. Their earlier award-winning films are ‘Tank Cleaner’, ‘Guest Unwanted’, and ‘Shoe Maker’.
