Neha Kakkar Melbourne Concert Row Escalates, Organizers Say She Refused to Perform for 'Just 700 People'

Singer Neha Kakkar, known for chartbusters like Coca Cola and Garmi, is facing renewed backlash after event organizers in Melbourne accused her of misleading the public about her controversial concert in March. The singer had broken down on stage, claimed she was unpaid, and said she received no food, water, or hotel accommodation.

However, Australian event organizers Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa have now countered her claims, saying she was unhappy with the crowd size and showed up three hours late.

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, the duo revealed that Neha had back-to-back shows, one in Sydney, attended by around 2,000 people, and another in Melbourne, where the turnout was just 700. The low attendance, they claim, was the reason she refused to perform. “She said, ‘Only 700 people? Fill the venue or I won’t perform,’” the organizers alleged. They added that fans had paid up to AUD 300 (approx Rs 16,000) and waited hours for her appearance.

The organizers also denied Neha’s accusations about the lack of basic amenities. “She stayed in a G-Wagon, her hotel was booked, and all payments were made in advance,” they said. “It’s standard in Australia to fully pay artists before they arrive.”

Neha had earlier responded to online criticism by stating she performed for free after the organizers “ran away with the money,” and her team was left stranded without food or lodging. She also blamed technical issues due to unpaid sound vendors.

The organizers, however, insisted all arrangements were made, including a sound check for other opening acts. They claimed the poor turnout resulted in a loss of over AUD 500,000 for the promoter.
