Dev Kharoud begins shooting for 'Shareek 2': The renowned actor will be seen in the sequel of the much liked Punjabi movie titled 'Shareek'.

Much liked Punjabi family drama titled 'Shareek', which had released in 2015, is all set to to enter the list of movies who transformed into franchises.

While murmurs regarding the sequel of the movie had been doing the rounds for quite some time now, the first official announcement came in the morning.

Dev Kharoud begins shooting for 'Shareek 2'

Renowned actor Dev Kharoud broke the news officially via a post on his social media platform Instagram account. Kharoud, who will be seen alongside Jimmy Sheirgill in the movie, forms an intriguing two-hero project which is expected to release this year.

It is worth mentioning that today was also the first day of shooting for Kharoud who was seen in Inderpal Singh's 'Zakhmi' earlier this month. Inderpal, who has written the scripts of several movies starring Kharoud in the past, has also penned down 'Shareek 2'.

Navaniat Singh, who had directed Shareek, is directing its sequel as well. Having worked with Sheirgill in the past, it is the first time when Singh and Kharoud are working with each other.

Shareek 2 is being produced under the banners of White Hill Studios, Ohri Productions and Thind Motion Pictures.

Punjabi Mania understands that Shareek 2 also stars Mukul Dev, who had played a pivotal role in the first part. Apart from Kharoud, veteran actor Yograj Singh and actress Sharan Kaur will also be seen as new-comers (in the franchise) with titular roles in Shareek 2.
