Bollywood veteran Sunny Deol is grabbing headlines once again, not just for his powerful on-screen presence, but also for his fresh, clean-shaven look, which has taken the internet by storm. The actor recently wrapped up the shoot of his much-awaited war drama Border 2, and seems to be embracing a new chapter, both personally and stylistically.
On Wednesday, Deol shared a striking picture of himself on Instagram, sitting atop a car against the majestic backdrop of Baralacha Pass, a high-altitude mountain pass in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul and Spiti districts. Dressed in a cozy sweater, jeans, and a beanie, Sunny ditched his usual rugged beard for a suave, clean-shaven appearance.
“Life’s a winding road through mountain peaks — fresh look, new direction,” the 66-year-old actor captioned the post, hinting at new beginnings after completing the intense shoot of Border 2.
His fans flooded the comments section with admiration and excitement. While one user called him the "Action King", another wrote, “Zabardast look.” A fan dropped a poetic Punjabi compliment: "Sohna kada sohna jehra sohni gal kare na, yaar kada yaar jehra yaar peeche mare na!”
A few days earlier, Sunny had shared a heartfelt post announcing the wrap of Border 2, with a photo of himself in military uniform and the caption: “Mission Accomplished! Fauji, signing off! My shoot wrapped for #Border2. Jai Hind!”
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars a powerful ensemble including Varun Dhawan, Ayan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with JP Dutta’s J.P. Films, and is set for release on January 23, 2026. Backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the sequel aims to continue the legacy of the iconic 1997 film Border and celebrate the courage and sacrifices of Indian soldiers.
Apart from Border 2, Sunny Deol has a busy slate ahead, including the historical drama Lahore 1947 and a special appearance in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor.
