A few weeks ago, we talked about an upcoming movie, 'Raduaa', and its prospects of going down as a ground breaking step in the history of Punjabi cinema. Delayed by a few days due to some undisclosed reasons, the official trailer of the movie was released yesterday on the official YouTube channel of T-Series Apna Punjab. At the time of writing this article, the trailer has received in excess of 2.5 lakh views on the same platform.
The movie is based on the concept of time-travel. Movies of this genre have been made in the past in other industries, but will be the first one in the Punjabi film industry. The Sci-fi category of the movie is in itself its USP, something which has it in it to allure the audiences towards the cinema halls on May 11.
Nav Bajwa, a name that needs no introduction in the Punjabi industry, is the trailblazer behind this concept. Already a triumphant dancer, model, anchor and actor, Nav Bajwa has donned the coat of a director, co-producer and a story writer as well in Radua. It will be interesting to see as to how the meld of his numerous roles are portrayed on the screen. Starring in the movie other than him are Gurpreet Ghuggi, B.N. Sharma, Satinder Satti and Vaibhavi Joshi.
The trailer sees Nav Bajwa, Gurpreet Ghuggi, B.N. Sharma and Satinder Satti travelling back in time to 1955. Upon their arrival in an era which falls more than half a century ago, a buzz is created amongst the villagers as for them this quartet appears to be from a different point in the future.
In which came as a gripping development in the trailer was the fact that this quartet doesn't hold back in sharing the news that they all have travelled back in time. All the four people are seen empowering the people and telling them about the happenings which will fall in the future. In Gurpreet Ghuggi and B.N. Sharma, the audiences can expect some effective comic punches which will keep them entertained throughout the movie.
Whether Nav Bajwa will be able to create a replica of his time machine in 1955 which will aid the quartet to travel back to 2018 will only be known after watching the movie upon its release.
