Following the footsteps of Diljit Dosanjh and Gippy Grewal, Jassie Gill is the next actor to take a leap from Punjabi films to bollywood. He will be seen in the bollywood movie Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi which is a sequel to the 2016 hit movie ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’. This movie would mark his bollywood debut and he would play a character called Khushwant Singh Gill. The starcast of the movie includes Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Deol, Diana Penty, Ali Fazal and Piyush Mishra. The movie will hit the silver screen on 24 August 2018.

In an interview during the promotions of the film , Jassie Gill said that he is overwhelmed to be a part of such a project and said that he never thought that he would be a part of a bollywood movie. He said that he never thought of being an actor or a professional singer, all he knew was that he really liked singing and would release a good song one day. He said that he was lucky to get an amazing team and feels blessed to be a part of a bollywood movie as it is a big thing for him.

When asked about Punjabi movies , he replied

“I am not leaving them. I will soon be seen in another Punjabi film, where I’ll be playing a girl! Also I just completed shooting for Pankaj Batra’s film. I cannot stay away from my roots.”

Sonakshi Sinha, who is the main female lead in the movie was all praises for Jassie. She said that initially Jassie was shy, but soon opened up to spread positivity. Mudassar Aziz , who has directed the film also appreciated the actor openly.

Jassie Gill’s fans are keenly looking forward to the release of this movie. The trailer of the movie has got a positive response from the audience.
