Sonam Bajwa responds to Instagram handle: The Punjabi actress broke her silence over her ongoing talk show on Zee Punjabi and ZEE5.
Actress Sonam Bajwa channeled her inner (but much calmer) Babbu Bains while responding to an Instagram comment around her ongoing chat show titled 'Dil Diyan Gallan'.
For those who are unaware, Bajwa is hosting a chat show, two episodes of which are broadcast on Zee Punjabi and uploaded on ZEE5 every week. In the show, Bajwa hosts prominent Punjabi artists for several games, lots of chat and some emotional moments.
A section of her fans have found fault in her working with Zee Network especially after the manner in which Zee News have covered the existing farmers' protest around the national capital.
Sonam Bajwa responds to Instagram handle
It all started when an Instagram handle named "youthkisaan" accused Bajwa of not supporting the farmers by working with Zee Network. Bajwa, who has been constantly posting about the farmers' protest on her Instagram handle, initially didn't reply directly but uploaded two stories asking people for the absence of love and empathy.
However, continuous chatter in the comments section of her post led her to voice her opinion. Bajwa, in a very full-grown manner, highlighted how artists are bound by contracts and that the same can put them in trouble irrespective of a boycott call.
While such a social media interaction could have easily been aggressive in nature, Bajwa appeared to not lose her temper (at least while commenting) and laud "youthkisaan" for their work with respect to the protests. Before concluding, Bajwa made it a point to mention about the different entities that Zee News and Zee Punjabi are and expressed solidarity with the farmers.
On the acting front, Bajwa was last seen in Pankaj Batra's 'Jinde Meriye' last year. Had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic, Bajwa would've had a couple of more releases by now namely 'Puaada' and 'Main Viyah Nahi Karona Tere Naal'.
