Amit Singh’s ‘Jagga Jiunda E’ is all in readiness to hit the big screens on the upcoming Friday, i.e., 03/08/2018. The trailer of the movie was released more than three weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of Lokdhun Punjabi. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of a million views on the same platform.

Apart from being Amit Singh’s directorial debut, Jagga Jiunda E will also serve as the second bout for its lead actors – Daljeet Kalsi (after a year and a half) and Kainaat Arora (after three years). Apart from them, the movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Yograj Singh, Karamjit Anmol , Gurpreet Ghuggi, Sunita Dhir, Yograj Singh, Rana Jang Bahadur, Harp Farmer, Sardar Sohi, Gurpreet Bhangu, Anita Devgan and Sapna Choudhary in pivotal roles.

It is worth mentioning that with Kalsi playing the role of a policeman against a seasoned veteran like Yograj Singh (playing the role of the villain), one can expect a riveting contest between the two of them. The former has also written the script and the screenplay of the movie. The dialogues of the movie are written by him, Tata Benipal and Rakesh Dhawan.

In an interview with Punjabi Mania, Kalsi, who is also the producer of the movie, opened out on how the budget of this movie remained under control despite it starring some established actors from both Bollywood and the Punjabi film industry. “It is a myth. You will be surprised to know that Bollywood is cheaper than our industry. It costed me around three times less. Moreover, there are no tantrums and are professional to the core. They (Bollywood actors) adhere to the call time and are ready with their dialogues on the night before the shoot.

“As a producer, Kainaat Arora costed me half the money that another actress of this grade from the Punjabi industry would have taken. Let me tell you that she has worked with full honesty and dedication without showing any bad mood or special demands”, he was quoted. Watch the full interview where he reveals some interesting anecdotes about Jackie Shroff, Sapna Choudhary and Yo Yo Honey Singh:

Jagga Jiunda E is also produced by Mika Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Kranti Shanbhag, Kapil Jhaveri and Anuj Dang under the banner of All Time Movies Pvt Ltd Productions and under the presentation of Mika Singh. The movie is expected to receive tough competition at the box-office for several notable Hindi movies in Atul Manjrekar’s ‘Fanney Khan’, Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Mulk’, Akarsh Khurana’s ‘Karwan’ and Vinod Kapri’s ‘Pihu’ are releasing on the same day.

Talking about the Punjabi industry, after a slow start, Amberdeep Singh’s Ashke‘ has started to make a mark at the box-office. With strong word of mouth being generated, the movie is likely to be vying for competition in the second week as well. Whether Jagga Jiunda E will be able to sneak past its competitors will only be known on this Friday after watching the movie.
