Representing the changing face of Punjabi cinema to depict serious issues of public concern in lighter way, Friday Rush Motion Pictires and producer Rupali Gupta are coming up with ’15 Lakh Kadon Aauga’. Directed by Manpreet Brar, the movie is going to release this friday.
The renowned Punjabi singer Ravinder Grewal and Pooja Verma are coming as lead actors in the film. The movie is based on the story of a person who has not only failed in all the spheres of life but also has succeeded in showing a greener picture about his life to his family. During his struggle with life he thinks of converting as Godam and befool the people. Meanwhile he meets a politician who had promised the voters to give 15 lakhs each after winning the election so the association of both gives birth to a new venture of ‘Babaism’.
Talking about the film, Rupali Gupta said that the film is based on the problems our society is facing at present and also what the common man feels about the life. The prior focus is on depicting the miseries of middle class of society that brings out laughter without any effort.
As per Manpreet Brar, ’15 Lakh Kadon Aauga’ will set a milestone in Punjabi cinema with a great sense of raising the issues of public importance in lighter way. He said the challange while making film was to keep laughter and seriousness tougher.
Ravinder Grewal said that the film is a satire on fake promises being made by political leaders to voo the voters in elections season and then running away from the promises. The film also raised the issue of widespread problem of so called Babas in Punjab. He said that the middle class is the utmost important part of society and representing their feeling is equally important. He said that the movie will definitely entertain the movie lovers to full extent.
Other than Ravinder Grewal and Pooja Verma, the other stars who are part of the film includes Hobby Dhaliwal, Malkit Rauni, Gurpreet Bhangu, Seema Kaushal, Jaswant Singh Rathore and Khayali. The songs of film are penned by Ravinder Grewal, Jaggi Singh and Pawan Mann while Ravinder Grewal, Ranjit Bawa and Gurlez Akhtar have given voices to the songs.
