Renowned actor Pankaj Dheer, widely recognized for his unforgettable portrayal of Karna in the television epic Mahabharat, has passed away at the age of 68. He had been privately battling cancer for several years, a close family acquaintance confirmed.

A family insider, speaking to DNA India, confirmed the somber news and revealed, “Yes, it’s true. He has been fighting cancer for years.” The family has yet to release an official statement.
Beyond the iconic mythological series, Dheer had an extensive body of work in films and daily soaps. From mainstream Bollywood to historical dramas and crime thrillers, he brought conviction to every character, whether hero or villain. His appearances in movies like Sadak, Baadshah, and Karan Arjun further cemented his place in the hearts of audiences.
