The Punjabi cinema is expanding at a rapid pace, not only in terms of the count of films that are being made, but also in terms of the themes, genres and concepts that are being chosen by the film makers. The upcoming film Teri Meri Jodi, which had been announced last year will also be based on a different and fresh concept and will have a unique plot and story line.
The film is being directed by Aditya Sood. After making films like Mar Jaawan Gud Khaake & Oye Hoye Pyar Ho Gaya, Canada based writer-director Aditya Sood will make his comeback in this industry after six years, with this movie. The film is being made under his own production house- Aditya’s Films. The story, screenplay and the dialogues have also been written by him only. The movie is being bankrolled by Harmandeep Sood.
The highlight of the movie is that the Punjabi singing sensation- Sidhu Moose Wala will be a part of the illustrious starcast of the movie. He will also be singing the songs of the movie. The cast of the film includes Canada based social media stars- King B Chouhan and Sammy Gill. Both of them are very popular on YouTube and other social media websites. Apart from doing short comic videos, King B Chouhan has also appeared in a few Punjabi songs and he will play a very significant part in the movie. The movie will also star one Hollywood actress- Jazzy Lee Ballerini. Popular model and television actress, Monica Sharma will also be seen playing a different character in the film. Other than them, Yograj Singh, Shakti Kapoor and Vijay Tondon will also play significant roles in the movie.
The release date of the movie, which was earlier scheduled to release on 26 July this year, has been postponed by the makers. The film will now release on 13 September 2019. The film will be a romantic drama and will exhibit two love stories. The makers promise to bring something new and different in this film and have promulgated that the movie can be enjoyed with the whole family. The team is very excited for the film and is looking forward to its release.
