Punjabi singer Afsana Khan has revealed that her official Instagram account was hacked on August 4, prompting her to issue an urgent appeal to fans to avoid interacting with the compromised profile until it is fully recovered.
In a video statement, the singer expressed disappointment over the incident, saying the misuse of someone's social media account is unacceptable. She noted that Instagram serves as an important platform for sharing both personal and professional updates, including announcements about live shows, new music and day-to-day activities.
Afsana urged her followers not to trust or engage with any messages, links, comments or posts appearing from the hacked account until she or her team officially confirms that access has been restored.
The singer's Instagram page has long been her primary medium for connecting with fans and promoting her projects. The security breach has temporarily disrupted that direct line of communication, raising concerns among her followers.
According to Afsana, efforts to recover the account are already underway. Until the issue is resolved, fans have been advised to rely only on verified updates from trusted sources and refrain from responding to any activity originating from the compromised profile.
The development comes at a time when Afsana Khan is enjoying renewed attention following the popularity of "Tere Naal Nachna," her track from the upcoming film Dhurandhar.
