The glamour world witnessed many weddings this year. After an array of celebrities, who tied the knot this year, popular comedian and Bollywood actor Kapil Sharma took the plunge and got married to his college sweetheart and long time girlfriend Ginni Chatrath in a big fat traditional Punjabi wedding in Jalandhar, on 12 December.
It was only on November 27, 2018 that Kapil confirmed his wedding news when he shared the picture of his wedding invite which looked lovely. His family and close friends were invited for the wedding. The pre wedding celebrations kicked off with a Mata ka jagran in Amritsar on December 10, which was followed by a mehendi and sangeet ceremony the next day followed by the wedding ceremony. Kapil will also host a wedding reception for his friends and family on 14 December.
The wedding ceremony was graced by the big names of television and comedy industry including Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakravarti, Rajiv Thakur, Bharti Singh, Harsh Limbachiyaa, Chandan Prabhakar and many more. Many stars from Punjabi industry including Roshan Prince and Ranjeet Bawa were present on the auspicious occasion of the comedy kings wedding. Gurdas Maan, who has even appeared as a guest on Kapil’s popular comedy show in the past, performed at Kapil’s wedding ceremony. Daler Mehndi will also be seen performing at Kapil and Ginni’s reception today.
Also, owing to the huge fan following, the comedian has decided to live stream his wedding on his YouTube channel Kapil Sharma K9. The teasers of the wedding being streamed online were posted on YouTube. This will allow Kapil’s fans to be part of the wedding. We wish that the couple who has stayed together through thick and thin, always stays together and we wish them all the very best as they mark their new journey !
