The Corona lockdown period has been tough for everyone including the Punjabi film industry which suffered immense loss of time and resources due to the unprecedented health crisis. Film shootings had to halt and cinema houses were shut down, making the strenuous time even more difficult.
Recently there has been a ray of hope that the cinema houses will reopen within a months time. This has come as a happy news not only for the film industry but also for the audience who have been eagerly waiting for new films to release on the big screen.
The film makers are now losing no time and have already started announcing release date of films that have been shot but could not be released due to the Corona crisis. The ace writer, director, producer and actor of the Punjabi industry- Amberdeep Singh recently booked his film slots for two of his upcoming movies produced under his home production banner. Singh made the official announcement of the same on his Instagram handle.
Amberdeep in his posts mentioned that he shall be releasing one of his films on 27 August 2021 and will be releasing another film on 10 September 2021. Singh will be making two big releases in two months, and fans are going all gaga over this news.
The team has not mentioned that which films will be released in the given dates of August and September. This has created a lot of intrigue and excitement amongst the audience. Since the first release date is just one month away, the film could be Je Jatt Vigad Geya, as the film has already been shot and is in its post production stage.
There also might be a chance that the upcoming film is Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira starrer movie- Jodi. Jodi is being produced by Rhythm Boyz Entertainment and Thind Motion Pictures, and has been written and directed by Amberdeep Singh. It has not been confirmed whether Amberdeep is producing the film or not.
The fans are thrilled to hear this fresh and exciting news. It will be interesting to guess which films will be released, till the team reveals more details about the upcoming releases. The news has created a hope amongst the audience who are now eagerly looking forward to the reopening of cinemas.
