Punjabi industry is growing and the female actors are now given more importance and credit for their roles. But inspite of this, there are very few Punjabi films, in which the credit is mostly or completely given to the female lead of the movie. This scenario is changing with the new age cinema, and a fine example of this is the upcoming film Sufna. The much talked about film- Sufna, will be a romantic drama and is all geared up for release on 14 February 2020.

Starring the superstar of the Punjabi industry- Ammy Virk, the movie will mark Tania’s debut as the solo female lead in the Punjabi cinema. Despite of having a very strong and popular male lead in the movie, the makers have given the leading lady her due for her significant part in the film and Ammy has clearly stated that this film belongs to Tania. This is a very rare and refreshing side of the Punjabi cinema and it is heartwarming to see that the industry is moving towards content based films and women centric stories.

Sufna will be an emotional ride for the audience and the trailer makes it evident that the film will definitely touch the viewers hearts. The movie will be different from other clichèd love stories and will exhibit a heart stealing romance. Releasing on the Valentine’s Day, the film has been written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu and will showcase  a contemporary love story. The fans are very excited for the movie and are eagerly looking forward to its release.
