Popular singer, actor and producer, Ammy Virk is on a roll as he is all set to take the big step and enter into the Hindi cinema. Currently the popular Punjabi star is preparing for his big Bollywood debut and is currently going through a boom phase in his life. Following Diljit’s footsteps, the Punjabi heartthrob is taking his baby steps towards the Hindi films.

The star is currently training for his role in the film 83, which is based on India’s first World Cup win in the year 1983. The film will be directed by the ace Bollywood director Kabir Khan and will be led by the energy machine Ranveer Singh. Ammy will play the character of fast bowler Balvinder Singh Sandhu in the film. Balwinder Singh Sandhu is known for taking the wicket of the West Indian player Gordon Greenidge by delivering the devastating in-swinger ball in the 1983 World Cup final match. Interestingly, Sandhu is also coaching Ranveer for the film. Apart from Ammy, the film also stars the popular Punjabi singer and actor Hardy Sandhu in a prominent role.

Ammy Virk took it to his social media handle to share pictures with the hero of the movie, Ranveer Singh. Ranveer Singh met the whole team and the pictures are going viral on social media. Ranveer also posted a picture with the team on his Instagram handle. Currently, both Ammy and Hardy are undergoing a tough training period for the film.

In a recent interview, Ammy shared his excitement and nervousness for this project. Apart from this film, he has also been roped in for another big Bollywood film- Bhuj- The Pride of India, which also stars big names including Ajay Devgan, Sunjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Parineeti Chopra. The actor said that he is very glad to be a part of two great films and to work with such renowned actors. He shared that in both the films he shall be representing his mother land and that he is elated to play both the characters. Apart from this, he has many Punjabi projects on his platter as well. Recently he revealed the release date of his upcoming Punjabi film Muklawa, which will hit the screens on 24 May 2019. Also, he has two more projects for this year – Chhalle Mundiyaan and Nikka Zaildar 3.
