Amrinder Gill and Amberdeep Singh reunite: The renowned singer-turned-actor’s second Punjabi movie of 2020 has been announced.
Singer-turned-actor-turned-producer Amrinder Gill is all set to provide a “big surprise” to his fans on July 31 this year. The announcement was made by producer Karaj Gill and writer-turned-director Amberdeep Singh on their respective Facebook accounts.
Gill, who was last seen in Janjot Singh’s ‘Chal Mera Putt‘ last year, will next be seen in the sequel of the same movie which is slated to release on March 13.

It is worth mentioning that the recently announced movie will be Gill’s second Punjabi movie of this year. The only detail which has been made public at this point in time is that the movie will be directed by Amberdeep Singh.
Having made his directorial debut with ‘Lahoriye‘ in 2017, the recently announced untitled film will be the third time coming together of Amberdeep Singh and Amrinder Gill in the capacity of a director and actor. The pair was also seen in similar capacities in ‘Ashke‘ (2018).
With the film set to release on July 31 his year, it will mark the five-year anniversary of blockbuster Punjabi movie titled ‘Angrej‘. While Gill had played the lead role in the movie, it was penned down by Amberdeep Singh.
Slated to be made under their home production of Rhythm Boyz Entertainment, it will be the third Punjabi movie for the production house in 2020. Apart from ‘Chal Mera Putt 2′, Rhythm Boyz have also produced Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira-starer ‘Jodi‘, which is also directed by Amberdeep Singh.
The untitled movie will also continue Rhythm Boyz’s knack of releasing a Punjabi movie in the last week of July. Since Angrej (2015), the illustrious production house has released super-hit movies such as ‘Bambukat‘ (2016), ‘Vekh Baraatan Challiyan‘ (2017), Ashke (2018) and Chal Mera Putt (2019) on the last Friday of July.
