Chhalla Mudke Nahi Aaya OTT Platform Release: After a long wait, Amrinder Gill’s acclaimed Punjabi period drama Chhalla Mudke Nahi Aaya has finally found its digital home. The film, which released theatrically in 2022, is now available for streaming on Chaupaal, bringing its emotionally rich narrative to OTT audiences.

The movie boasts a strong supporting cast including Sydney Eberwein as Bella, Karamjit Anmol as Najjar, Sargun Mehta as Jeeto, Binnu Dhillon as Gamma, Amrit Waraich as Tara Singh, Raj Kakra as Fauji, Harpreet Bains as Sukho, Gary Dehlon as Hazaara and Bikram Brar as Munshi.

Set against the backdrop of the early 20th century, the film explores the lives of Sikh immigrants in Canada during a time marked by discrimination, unequal wages and social alienation. Through a mix of drama, emotion and light humour, the narrative also touches upon issues such as women’s rights, identity struggles and anti-Asian prejudice.

At its heart, the story follows Chhalla, a young man from Punjab who travels to Canada in search of work and a better future. As he battles harsh working conditions and racial bias abroad, he remains tied to his family back home, reflecting the sacrifices and resilience of early Punjabi settlers in Canada.
