Diljit Dosanjh, the heartthrob of Punjabi Cinema is now ruling the charts in Bollywood as well. His Bollywood debut, Udta Punjab hasn’t yet released and he’s bagged another role, this time the leading role opposite none other than Anushka Sharma. Diljit will be seen opposite Anushka Sharma in her 2nd home production, ‘Phillauri’. The film also features Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi, Homeland, Million Dollar Arm) who has done extensive work in Hollywood and will make his debut in Bollywood with this role.

Diljit has been very fortunate enough to work with some of the leading ladies of Bollywood. He has worked with Kareena Kapoor Khan in Udta Punjab. Also he’s signed Priyanka Chopra’s home production tentatively titled ‘Ek Omkar’ which has been written by Amberdeep Singh. And now he’s working opposite Anushka Sharma. Surely that takes some talent and Punjabi Cinema is blessed to have actors like Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit also posted the news on his Facebook page:
