Punjabi rapper-singer AP Dhillon has reacted with humour to reports of mobile phones and wallets being stolen during his Delhi concert last year, choosing wit over worry while appearing on a popular television comedy show.

A promo from an upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, featuring AP Dhillon alongside stand-up comic Anubhav Singh Bassi, has been doing the rounds on social media. In the clip, host Kapil Sharma jokingly refers to the thefts reported at the December concert, where some attendees had paid premium prices for tickets.

Quipping about the situation, Kapil remarked that while AP Dhillon was showcasing his talent on stage, some audience members were displaying “their own skills” in the crowd. The singer responded with a tongue-in-cheek comment, suggesting that anyone who had spent nearly ?6 lakh on a ticket would want to “recover the cost somehow,” triggering laughter on set.

The moment stood out not just for Dhillon’s relaxed response but also for Kapil’s playful introduction of the guests. In his trademark style, the comedian declared that two global stars were present on stage — himself and AP Dhillon — leaving Bassi mockingly overlooked, much to the amusement of the audience.

The remarks referenced incidents from AP Dhillon’s One of One India Tour held in December 2025. The tour featured ultra-premium ticket options, with the most exclusive VVIP Crystal package priced at approximately ?6.25 lakh in Mumbai, including booking charges. Similar high-end tickets were sold for other cities as well.

Following the Delhi leg of the tour, several concertgoers reported thefts of smartphones and personal belongings, prompting a police investigation. The Delhi Police crime branch later arrested four individuals in connection with the incidents and recovered around 40 high-end mobile phones valued at several lakhs of rupees.

While the episode itself is yet to air, the promo has already sparked online chatter, with fans praising AP Dhillon’s ability to address an uncomfortable topic with humour rather than defensiveness.
