Ardaas Karaan Music Review: Sound equivalent of magic

Ardaas Karaan Music Review: Punjabi Mania present before you the full music review of upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Ardaas Karaan'.

While Punjabi single tracks or even albums do the rounds at a pan-India level these days, songs of Punjabi movies still don't enjoy the same status in Punjab, forget India. While there are many reasons behind the same, none of them seem to affect the songs of upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Ardaas Karaan'.

Directed by Gippy Grewal, a large chunk of Ardaas Karaan's buzz is because of its songs. At the time writing this article, production house Humble Motion Pictures has released as many as five songs of the movie. If science will ever introduce a sound equivalent of magic, it would be similar to what the songs of Ardaas Karaan sound to a human ear.

Be it writing, music or singing, each and every department has added immensely to make the songs what they are at this point in time. The best part about the songs is that they all seem to adhere to the story and not one looks like being forced to divert attention of the listeners.

Having released the videos of five songs, the makers have now also released the full audio jukebox of the movie. The development further makes it clear that Ardaas Karaan will comprise of eight songs including a male and female version of the title song. Out of eight songs, only time will tell how many of them will make it to the film.

Ardaas Karaan Music Review

Satgur Pyare

In Sunidhi Chauhan and Devenderpal Singh, the singers of the song itself comprise for an excellent life story. A contestant in Indian Idol 6, Devenderpal performed in front of Chauhan back in the day. The pair has now joined hands to put on display an outstanding devotional song.

While legendary music director Jatinder Shah has directed the music for not just this song but all other songs as well, lyricist Happy Raikoti has penned down its deep-rooted lyrics.

Tere Rang Niyare

Noted singer Nachhatar Gill, who had sung the blockbuster 'Daata Ji' in 'Ardaas', has been successful in delivering another song of the same potential. In what is another devotional song, it has been musically directed and written by Shah and Raikoti respectively.

Bachpan

Given the number of times Grewal has sung this song in promotions, there was not an iota of doubt regarding him singing the song for the movie as well. As the title suggests, 'Bachpan' is likely to highlight the younger days of a few characters of the movie.

Bachpan has been written by script writer Rana Ranbir. It wouldn't be wrong to say that the song is an ode to everyone's childhood.

Zindagi

Another positive point emerging from Ardaas Karan is the fact Grewal hasn't shied away from giving the opportunity to other male singers despite his presence. In what is an inspiring song, Zindagi has been sung by Sharry Mann penned down by Ricky Khan.

Ardaas Karaan title track

Also sung by Chauhan, the title track of the movie has it in it to be followed across the world. Chauhan's melodious voice in association Raikoti's words have created something inexplicable which can only be judged after listening to it.
