Rahul Fazilpuria attack case: A late-night police operation ended in heavy gunfire as law enforcement confronted five men accused of opening fire on Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria last month. The encounter took place in the Wazirpur area of Gurugram, where police intercepted the suspects traveling in an Innova.
As the vehicle was cornered, the criminals reportedly fired at the police team, leading to an exchange of nearly 18 bullets. Four suspects sustained gunshot wounds to their legs before being overpowered, while the fifth was captured unhurt. All are currently receiving medical treatment under police guard.
Officials confirmed that the accused were behind the July 14 attack on Fazilpuria’s Thar in Badshahpur and are also linked to the August 4 murder of Rohit Shaukeen outside Palm Hills Society on SPR Road.
Police described the arrests as a major breakthrough in tackling organised crime in the region and said further investigations are underway to trace additional accomplices.
