Audience will love every moment of TM22MT22: Amit Prasher

Making his debut as a Director in Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 (TM22MT22), Amit Prasher was recently interviewed by Punjabimania.

Q1. Tell us about your background in brief?

I was born and brought up in Nakodar, a town near Jalandhar. I did B.Com from KRM DAV College, Nakodar and then did my post-graduation from DAV College, Jalandhar. Later, I did a Post Graduate Diploma in Commercial Arts from APJ College, Jalandhar. I used to do theatre in my college days.

Q2. How did you start your career in Pollywood?

I was always interested in films and media. So after my post-graduation, I left for Mumbai and did diploma in film making from Digital Academy and then then came back to Punjab for some personal reasons. Here I tried in music videos, documentaries etc. but didn’t get much work. So finally I shifted to Mumbai there after some struggle and 1 year work in TV industry, I got a change to meet Mr Navniat Singh (whom I call Gugnu Paji) through a common friend Gurwinder Singh, he took me in his team for ‘Dharti; and from here my journey started.

Q3. What is TM22MT22 all about?

TM22MT22 is the story of 2 fun loving brothers who are rich spoilt brat sons of a millionaire in Australia. Their father sends them to India to get some work done. The movie is a full on comedy depicting a fun story of the two boys’ adventures in this journey.

Q4. How was your experience with the cast of the movie?

It was brilliant. It was a sort of a dream cast to work with in the first film. Amrinder paji is like an elder brother to me. I know him since college days, he was my senior. So it was very easy and comfortable working with him. Honey paji is a brilliant actor and a superb person. It was fun to work with and a treat to watch on screen. Mandy and Wamiqa are brilliant actresses and very sweet, pretty and charming girls. So it was good to work with them.......rest of the cast is top of the line cast in Punjab all brilliant actors and lovely people to work with. All in all it was a super fun and super good shoot

Q5. What are your expectations from the movie?

I expect the movie to do really well. I have a feeling that the fun we had on shoot will definitely be felt by the audience and they'll also love every moment of the film

Q6. How challenging it was for you to direct a Punjabi Movie?

For me it was more of a learning experience than a challenge. There are challenges in every field but the challenges start to fade away the moment you start enjoying your work. It’s always good to do something you love doing.  I learnt a lot through this experience.

Q7. Any memories from the sets of the movie?

There are a lot of memories; in fact everything related to this movie is a memory. Being my first film everything related to this film becomes so very special. If i have to say one, I celebrated birthday on the sets of the movie, which was really memorable.

Q8. What are your upcoming projects?

I'll be starting my next project sometime in March-April. It is being produced by Mr Kumar Mangat. Its Mangat ji's first punjabi film, everything else will be announced soon.

Team Punjabi Mania wishes Amit, all the best for his movie, releasing 25th of this month.
