Harish Verma

After the hilarious success of Yaar Anmulle and most recently Burrraahh, Harish Verma who is now famously known as ‘JATT TINKA’ is riding on a career high. But this success hasn’t come handy to him. He’s worked hard day and night to reach here.

Early Days

Harish Verma began his career as a theatre artist where he started working as a character artist under famous theatre Director Sardaar Gursharan Singh Ji also known as Paaji in the industry. He worked under him for 8 years where he began as a character artist but soon impressed one and all with his acting skills and thus bagged the lead roles in various plays. Even till today he acknowledges Gursharan Ji’s presence in his life. He credits most of his success to him.

Television

In 2008, when Harish went to Mumbai from Chandigarh to make a career in films, he was signed for a very famous serial, which was aired on Colors titled ‘Naa Aana Is Desh Laado’. Harish’s character was the only Positive male character in the serial. He has also played the Lead in a Punjabi serial, which aired on Just TV.

Big Screen Debut

After working in the theatre and television industry for less than a decade, now it was time for Harish to flourish himself on the Big Screen. Harish made his film debut with a Punjabi film titled ‘Panjaban’ which was released in 2012. It was Produced and Directed by Gaurav Trehan (who also Directed Hashar).

Harish played the negative role in the film. His role went unnoticed and there were plenty of reasons for it. First of them being the film also marked the debut of Miss Pooja that too in a double role and secondly the film didn’t do quite well at the Box Office. Hopping from television to movies has been an interesting move for this young actor. A debut like Panjaban opposite Miss Pooja was a learning experience for Harish.
