Deepak Bhatia, the Bhojpuri star is all set to enter Punjabi Film Industry as a main villain in the Upcoming Punjabi Flick – Simran. Deepak is widely known for acclaimed roles in various Bhojpuri films like Rowdy Rani, Dil Aur Deewar, A Balma Biharwala, Dand Bhumi, Dil Ho Gail Qurbaan & many more.
Produced by PBR Entertainment & HK Productions House, Simran features seasoned actors like Yashpal Sharma, Parth Lakhan Pal and Deepak Bhatia who plays the main villain in this upcoming punjabi film. Some of the portions of the film have been shot and the remaining film will be shot in the month of July in parts of Punjab.
Speaking to Punjabi Mania, Deepak Bhatia revealed, “I play the main villain in the Upcoming Punjabi Film, Simran which is about a drug lord in Punjab. I cannot reveal much about the character as of now but it is something which we have not seen before in Punjabi Cinema. I look forward to terrifying the audience with my villainous character in Simran.”
Also revealing about his work in the past, Deepak said, “I have been doing Bhojpuri cinema for the past decade and it has been a wonderful experience. During this phase, I have also worked with many seasoned directors like Prakash Jha, Vikram Bhatt in their films which has been a great learning curve for me. Now I look forward to doing Punjabi films.”
Deepak has a strong connection with Punjab and Punjabi Language. Born and brought up in Panipat (Haryana), Bhatia feels that doing a film in Punjabi felt like he was close to his motherland and this is a project which is very special to his heart and he is thankful to his producers & the director Harish Kataria for giving him this opportunity to work in a film which is very close to his heart.
Simran will release in cinemas by the end of the year.
