The countdown to television's biggest reality spectacle has officially begun. The makers of Bigg Boss 20 have announced that the milestone season will premiere on September 6 on Colors TV and JioHotstar, with host Salman Khan returning to lead the show for another season.
The announcement was accompanied by the release of the first teaser, offering viewers an early glimpse into what promises to be an unpredictable edition of the popular reality series. In the promo, Salman Khan makes a dramatic entrance on horseback before delivering a dialogue that has left fans guessing about the season's central theme.
Referring to his iconic film Karan Arjun, the actor says, "Jo Karan Arjun mein hua tha, woh hoga ab Bigg Boss mein... Thathastu!" The makers added another layer of mystery with the tagline, "Ek se bhale do," prompting viewers to speculate about possible twists awaiting contestants.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Salman hinted that this year's format would be unlike any previous edition. He said every season introduces new challenges and changing equations, but the 20th edition revolves around a mystery that viewers will gradually uncover. According to him, the teaser already contains clues, encouraging fans to look more closely as the show unfolds.
Reports also suggest that the makers are giving the iconic Bigg Boss house a complete visual overhaul. After designing the set for several seasons, veteran production designers Omung Kumar and Vanita Garud Kumar are reportedly being replaced by art directors Kanchan and Rupali, who previously worked on the reality show The 50. However, an official confirmation on the redesign is still awaited.
Meanwhile, speculation over the contestant lineup continues to dominate social media discussions. Several celebrity names have surfaced as possible participants, including Mahhi Vij, Geeta Basra, Jannat Zubair, Faisal Shaikh (Mr Faisu), Sunil Pal, Nia Sharma, Pearl V Puri and Showik Chakraborty. Reports also suggest that Arbaz Patel, Bhagirath Bhatt, Bhavya Singh, Ruru Thakur and Tushar Karwar are under consideration.
Despite the growing buzz, the makers have not officially confirmed the final list of contestants. With the premiere just weeks away, fans are eagerly waiting to see which celebrities will eventually enter the famous house and what surprises the landmark 20th season has in store.
