Mumbai: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty brought fresh drama to Bigg Boss 20 during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, praising contestant Gullu’s performance and suggesting that he join the upcoming season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. The episode also saw Shetty question Love Gill and ScoutOP over their interactions inside the house.
Taking over hosting duties from Salman Khan for the episode, Shetty addressed several contestants over their conduct during the week, offering both appreciation and criticism.
Rohit Shetty sees Gullu as a Khatron Ke Khiladi contender
Gullu received an encouraging response from the filmmaker, who praised his performance in the reality show and pointed to his potential for the stunt-based competition.
“Gullu, you’re doing really well in the show. You should come to Khatron Ke Khiladi. You’re good at comedy and can do stunts,” Shetty told him.
Surprised by the offer, Gullu asked whether Shetty was serious and said he would be willing to participate. The filmmaker reaffirmed his interest, describing Gullu as someone suited to the show.
The exchange visibly excited Gullu, who expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of taking on the challenges of Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Shetty also appreciated Gullu and Kanika Mann for the way they handled a situation involving Arishfa Khan, who spilled water on their beds. The filmmaker appeared to approve of their measured response to the incident.
Love and Scout questioned over their closeness
The episode took a more confrontational turn when Shetty addressed the physical interactions between Love and Scout inside the house.
Referring to instances in which Scout was seen massaging Love’s legs, hands and neck, Shetty said their behaviour could be interpreted negatively by viewers. He specifically questioned the nature of the interactions and cautioned the contestants about how their actions appeared on screen.
Scout responded by saying he behaved similarly with fellow contestant Mahhi Vij, whom he referred to as “Mahhi di”.
Shetty, however, clarified that his concern was not simply about whether Scout treated other contestants in the same way. Instead, he focused on how the interactions between Love and Scout might be perceived by audiences watching the programme.
The filmmaker stressed that the contestants needed to consider the impression their behaviour created outside the house.
Weekend Ka Vaar delivers praise and criticism
From a potential opportunity on a popular stunt reality show to a direct warning about on-screen conduct, the episode gave viewers contrasting moments involving the contestants.
While Gullu received encouragement from Shetty over his comedy and stunt potential, Love and Scout were asked to reflect on how their interactions were coming across to the audience. The exchanges added another layer of discussion to the ongoing developments inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
