Punjabi actor Binnu Dhillon has voiced his disappointment after experiencing what he described as a stressful journey aboard an Air India flight to Vancouver. The actor alleged that several Business Class seats on the aircraft were not functioning properly, leaving passengers, including his family, in an uncomfortable situation.
Dhillon shared his experience through a video on social media while travelling to Canada for the promotion of his upcoming film Carry on Jatta. In the clip, he claimed that despite paying for premium seats, many passengers discovered that the reclining mechanisms were not working after boarding the flight.
According to the actor, airline staff informed affected passengers that they could either continue the long-haul journey on the defective seats or opt not to travel. He further alleged that compensation in the form of a partial refund, reportedly around 35 per cent of the ticket cost, was offered to those inconvenienced.
Expressing his frustration, Dhillon questioned why passengers had not been informed about the technical issues before boarding the aircraft. He argued that travellers should have been given the opportunity to make an informed decision instead of discovering the problem only after entering the plane.
The actor also remarked that he had previously spoken positively about the airline but now felt compelled to advise people to think carefully before booking similar flights. In a sarcastic comment, he joked that travelling to Canada on foot would be preferable to repeating such an experience.
The video also featured fellow passengers who shared similar concerns. One traveller claimed it was his second unpleasant experience with the airline and said many passengers were visibly upset because of the seating issues during the lengthy international journey.
Despite the inconvenience, Dhillon maintained his cheerful spirit toward the end of the video, interacting with viewers and mentioning his visit to Canada for the promotion of Carry on Jatta. His remarks have since gained significant attention online, with fans reacting to the incident and discussing airline service standards on social media.
