Chandigarh: The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly taken responsibility for a firing incident that occurred outside the residence of Gurpartap Kang, manager of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, in Haryana’s Karnal district.
The incident took place in the Gonder area, where unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire near the property late at night. No injuries were reported in the incident, police officials said, while an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Soon after the firing, a message surfaced on social media in which individuals identifying themselves as Tyson Bishnoi, Aarzoo Bishnoi and Hari Boxer claimed responsibility for the attack. In the post, the group described the incident as a “warning” rather than an extortion attempt and stated that the weapons used were allegedly manufactured in Austria.
The message further accused a member associated with Dosanjh’s team of misconduct involving women. The gang alleged that complaints had been received from multiple women regarding inappropriate behaviour connected to an employee linked to the singer’s entourage.
According to the statement, the group had previously issued two warnings to Dosanjh and his associates, including managers Gurpartap Kang and Sonali, urging them to distance themselves from the individual in question.
Referring to the latest firing as a “third warning,” the gang claimed it had restrained itself from taking stronger action because Dosanjh represents India internationally through his music and performances. The post also carried a threat of escalating consequences if their demands were ignored.
The gang additionally warned those allegedly supporting the accused individual and claimed it could publicly disclose the person’s identity in the future.
Authorities have not confirmed the authenticity of the social media message, and no official statement has yet been issued by Dosanjh or his management team regarding the allegations or the firing incident. Security agencies are examining the origin of the post and investigating all possible angles connected to the case.
