Following Gadar 2's explosive success in 2023, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol will now feature in another top-notch sequel, Border 2. Yes, you read that right. The original JP Dutta-directed movie was one of the biggest hits of its era when it came out 27 years ago. Sunny took to his social media and announced his upcoming film Border 2. The actor shared a voice-over video that was posted with the post, saying that he is returning to keep the promise he made 27 years ago.

Directed by Anurag Singh, who has also helmed blockbuster films like Kesari, Jatt & Juliet, Jatt & Juliet 2, Punjab 1984 and many more. The filmmaker has already set the standards in the industry and now fans are wishing to know more about the same. The announcement of Border 2 has created a lot of stir among the audience.

Now coming to the credits, the forthcoming sequel Border 2 is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. Among the numerous other actors in the ensemble cast of the first movie were Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Rakhee, and Pooja Bhatt. But this time the star cast is yet to be disclosed. Although Ayushmann Khurrana's name is not included in the original announcement, there have been rumours that he may be involved in Border 2. 

The 1971 India-Pakistan War's Battle of Longewala served as the inspiration for the 1997 movie. The premise of Border 2 has not yet been revealed by the developers. As of now, the release date and other details of the film are kept behind the curtains, but the excitement of fans might make makers disclose the pivotal information soon.
