Box office response of Punjabi movie Double Do Trouble starring Gippy Grewal, Dharmendra, Minissha Lamba. Directed by Smeep Kang.
First Weekend
The first weekend was business for Double Di Trouble. However, the movie failed to get the opening which the producers might have anticipated. The first weekend was worth Rs 2.20 Cr (net). Also considering the fact that the budget of the film was very high, chances are very less that the film collections would end in green.
First Weekend Collection Breakdown

| Friday Sept 29, 2014 | 60 Lakhs |
| Saturday Sept 30, 2014 | 65 Lakhs |
| Sunday Sept 31, 2014 | 95 Lakhs |

Early responses
The first day first shows of Double Di Trouble are drawing crowds. Occupancies for the early morning shows were around 50-60%.
First Day
Double Di Trouble had reasonable collections on day one as it collected around 65 lakhs nett on its first day in East Punjab. The film was the first Punjabi film from Mukta Arts and first film with legendary superstar Dharmendra in a full fledged role.
Earlier Dharmendra had guest roles in Punjabi films but the name used to be enough to get huge openings in the 70’s and 80’s. Do Sher in 1974 was a runaway hit and was even dubbled in Hindi as Do Sholay in 1977 and proved to be the only Punjabi dubbed film till date to see success in Hindi due to the star power of Dharmendra.
Double Di Trouble is one of the costliest Punjabi films to be ever made so the collections are not really in accordance to the costs. It had to be near that 1 crore nett mark to be a plus film. Now the film is depending on a good word of mouth run for a few weeks.
