The Hindi blockbuster Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, has scripted history at the global box office by surpassing ?1,500 crore in gross, becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
According to official figures shared by Jio Studios, the film’s worldwide gross collection has reached ?1,501 crore. Of this, ?1,134 crore has come from domestic earnings, while overseas markets have contributed ?367 crore.
The film is now on the verge of another milestone, with its net box office collection in India touching ?961 crore. Trade analysts say it is likely to soon enter the coveted ?1,000 crore net club, a rare feat in Indian cinema.
With this achievement, Dhurandhar 2 has joined an elite list of Indian films that have crossed ?1,500 crore globally, alongside Dangal, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and Pushpa 2: The Rule. It also becomes only the second Hindi-language film after Dangal to reach this landmark.
The film’s strong run continued on Thursday as well, adding ?19 crore to its domestic net earnings, reflecting sustained audience interest weeks after release.
The success of the sequel builds on the massive popularity of its predecessor, Dhurandhar, which had also performed exceptionally well both in India and abroad. The franchise has consistently drawn large crowds, aided by its high-octane storytelling and wide appeal.
Industry observers note that the film’s performance is particularly noteworthy given its absence in certain international markets, including the Gulf region. Despite this, it has managed to post record-breaking numbers and attract a strong global audience.
With momentum still on its side, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to continue its impressive run, further cementing its place among the biggest commercial successes in Indian cinema history.
