Box Office: Rocky Mental, Punjabi Movie

Day 1

Rocky Mental did not release in cinemas in India on Friday due to some technical issues. More on that Here. However, the film has released in Overseas markets on schedule.

Day 2

Rocky Mental finally opened in cinemas in India. The film was released on 137 Screens in East Punjab and got over 700 shows in those screens. The morning shows had all good occupancies throughout and cities like Patiala, Barnala, Kotkapura, Moga, Ludhiana, Mohali were all sold out. However, the film dipped during the evening shows and the film collected Rs. 66,00,000 on it’s 1st Saturday in East Punjab region. The loss of one single day is way too high and the film will only have 6 days in Week 1 instead of 7.

Day 3

Rocky Mental continued it’s winning streak as the film collected around Rs. 70,00,000 in East Punjab on Day 2. The growth on Sunday was expected but a growth rate of just about 6-7% is very minimal and even films like Arjan, Thug Life managed that kind of growth due to Sunday. More growth was expected on Sunday especially since film only had a weekend of 2 days. Anyways, the Opening Weekend total of the film is Rs. 1,36,00,000 in East Punjab region.

Day 4

Rocky Mental was able to pass it’s Monday Test as the film dropped by just 50% on it’s 1st Monday. The film collected Rs. 33,00,000 in the East Punjab region on Monday. The total of the region is Rs. 1,69,00,000.
