Box Office Report of Punjabi Movie Sat Shri Akaal England starring Ammy Virk, Monica Gill, Karamjit Anmol. Directed by Vikram Pradhan.
First Day First Show
Finally Ammy Virk, Monica Gill starrer Sat Shri Akaal England has finally hit the cinema screens after a 3-week delay and the film has not opened to an inspiring response at the Box Office. The Opening Shows numbers are below the last releases like Sardar Mohammad and Bailaras. The admits were very low in number which is not an encouraging sign for the film which stars a Superstar like Ammy Virk in the lead who has a 100% Track Record when it comes to Opening Day Numbers at the Box Office. However, we will have to wait for evening shows to see how far can the film reach on Day 1 but it is safe to say that SSA England might become the lowest Ammy Virk Opener on Day 1 at the Box Office.
Day 1
As predicted, Sat Shri Akaal England failed to get the audiences in on Day 1 as the film managed to collect a mere Rs. 29,00,000 Nett on Day 1 in East Punjab region. There can be many reasons which can be blamed like the censor delay, lack of promotions, lack of a superhit song, etc. etc. But I would again focus on the content of the film. If the content is good, the audience will come to watch the film for sure, but here the content lacked the substantiality, thus the film suffered in the Opening Day numbers. However, now we can hope that the film goes from here but anything less than 200-250% growth will be unacceptable and that figure looks like a distant dream at the moment.
Day 2
Sat Shri Akaal England managed to grow a bit as the film collected Rs. 38,00,000 Nett on Day 2 in East Punjab region taking its 2-day total to Rs. 67,00,000. This is the lowest collection for any Ammy Virk starrer with the previous one being Ardaas. Even that film managed a healthy Rs. 62,00,000 on Day 1 inspite of a clash with another biggie, Love Punjab. The other release this week being Fukrey Returns is managing very healthy collections in East Punjab region with the 2-day total being upwards of Rs. 2.55 Crores.
Day 3
Sat Shri Akaal England failed to grow anywhere beyond it’s Saturday growth as the film managed another Rs. 40,00,000 on it’s 3rd Day (Sunday) which is supposed to be the highest grossing day for any Punjabi film. The 3-day total for SSA England is around Rs. 1,07,00,000 Nett. Now the film will have to sustain on Weekdays which is pretty difficult for this one given that how the audience has completely shown no interest at all in this film.
Day 4
Sat Shri Akaal England collected a mere Rs. 15,00,000 on Day 4 as the film managed to collect Rs. 1,22,00,000 Nett in 4 Days at the East Punjab Box Office.
Day 5
Sat Shri Akaal England collected a mere Rs. 13,00,000 on Day 5 as the film managed to collect Rs. 1,35,00,000 Nett in 5 Days at the East Punjab Box Office.
Day 6
Sat Shri Akaal England collected a mere Rs. 13,00,000 on Day 6 as the film managed to collect Rs. 1,48,00,000 Nett in 6 Days at the East Punjab Box Office.
Day 7
Sat Shri Akaal England collected a mere Rs. 10,00,000 on Day 7 as the film managed to collect Rs. 1,58,00,000 Nett in 7 Days at the East Punjab Box Office.
Day 8
Sat Shri Akaal England collected a mere Rs. 6,00,000 on Day 8 as the film managed to collect Rs. 1,64,00,000 Nett in 8 Days at the East Punjab Box Office. There is only one way for the film from here: Downwards. There may be a few spikes in the graph on Saturday & Sunday but it will even be difficult for the film to surpass the Rs. 2 Crore mark which Ammy Virk has surpassed within 2 days with all his previous releases (Except Ardaas). Poor Content, Weak Marketing Tactics, Average Music, Delay due to CBFC have all come together in one film to give Ammy Virk, his 1st Flop in his Acting Career.
