First Day First Show
Yaaran De Yaar has opened to a very dull response on Day 1. However, the film has managed to get ample amount of shows around Punjab and that is because of no major releases this week and it being the festival period, usually films perform very dull during this time period. All the anticipation is usually for the Diwali releases. And moreover, the film was not at all promoted due to which there was hardly any awareness about the film. Our team tried to watch the film for review purpose but we were turned down by the theatre staff due to our team-mate being the only member interested in watching the film.
Day 1
Yaaran De Yaar managed to collect around Rs. 90,000 on it’s Day 1 at the Box Office and you will be surprised to know that this is not the lowest opening of the year for a Punjabi Film. That record belongs to Kirdaar-E-Sardaar which opened around Rs. 65,000 on Day 1 in East Punjab. Given the Day 1 figures, this is not at all surprising about what was expected of the film.
Days 2 to 7
Yaaran De Yaar saw a day-wise fall in collections and the shows kept on decreasing day by day. The film managed to collect around Rs. 3,00,000 in the remaining 6 days of the week and the film will end it’s lifetime run at Rs. 3,90,000 (Approx).
