Chaar Sahibzaade – Rise Of Banda Bahadur grossed around Rs 37,00,000 in East Punjab region across the 3D & 2D versions and Rs. 8,00,000 from Rest of India territories. This is double the opening of what normal animation films take in India but considering the mega success of Chaar Sahibzaade (2014) this would have been expected to be better. In 2014, the 1st instalment grossed around Rs. 22,00,000 in East Punjab on Day 1.
There is the issue of currency demonetising going on in the country at the moment which we can say has affected the collections in a big way but that is something which is really not in anyone’s control. The film should show growth as families come on the weekend and animation films tend to show huge growth. Even in 2014, the first instalment started gaining from Saturday evening & Sunday onwards.
