The trailer of the heavily talked-about movie in 'Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh' has finally been released. The manner in which the trailer was doing the rounds in the build-up of its release was primarily because of the way it was being endorsed by its cast.
In Gippy Grewal and Sargun Mehta, Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh unequivocally stars two of the biggest contemporary names in the Punjabi film industry. Other than the lead pair, the movie will also see Rajpal Yadav in a pivotal role. Having earlier done a Punjabi movie in Vijay Kumar Arora's 'Ronde Sare Vyah Picho', Yadav will be seen in a Punjabi movie after six years.

Talking of the lead pair, the volume of attention on Grewal and Mehta in the trailer is utterly refreshing for a Punjabi movie. While Punjabi movies generally thrive on stellar supporting actors, Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh seems to be a rarity with groundbreaking prominence on its protagonists.
It is evident from the trailer that the movie will see Sargun travel from her hometown Chandigarh to Amritsar. It is during her arrival at Amritsar that she comes across Gippy, who hails from Amritsar itself. How both of them travel on this unconventional journey is what the movie is likely to be all about.
Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh has been directed by Karan R. Guliani, who had earlier directed 'Sarvann'. There is no shying away from the fact that the movie is an official remake of super-hit Marathi movie titled 'Mumbai Pune Mumbai'.
For those who have watched the Marathi movie are well-aware of the fact that it is going to be an unusual movie for the Punjabi viewers. While audiences seem excited for the project at this point in time, here is hoping for them to convert their excitement into footfalls at the cinema halls.
